<div style="text-align: justify;">Dès son ouverture en 1980, la première Calandreta de Béziers applique la pédagogie Freinet qui est, encore aujourd'hui, en vigueur dans la plupart des Calandretas. <br />L'une des caractéristiques de ces « techniques Freinet » est de permettre à l'enfant de s'enraciner dans le milieu naturel et social dans lequel il vit. Les promenades scolaires sont donc encouragées : elles sont l'occasion d'étudier la nature environnante, de l'explorer puis d'en réaliser un compte-rendu détaillé une fois de retour en classe.</div>
