<h2>Qui est Raoul Lafagette ?</h2>

<p style="text-indent: 50px;">Originaire de l’Ariège, Raoul Lafagette est un homme de lettres très attaché à ses racines, en atteste sa bibliographie : <em>Chants d’un montagnard</em> (1869), <em>Pics et vallées</em> (1885), <em>Symphonies pyrénéennes</em> (1897). Il s'intéresse donc tout naturellement à la question régionaliste et par conséquent au Félibrige : <em>La Renaissance romane</em> (1890), <em>Les visées du Félibrige</em> (1896), et <em>La Grande Lorraine</em> (1908), pièce de théâtre historique. Il est l’ami d’un grand nombre de personnages importants de l’époque : Victor Hugo, Leconte de l'Isle, Émile Pouvillon, Alphonse Daudet, Frédéric Mistral, <a href="http://www.occitanica.eu/omeka/items/show/3785">Auguste Fourès</a> et <a href="http://www.occitanica.eu/omeka/items/show/3732">Prosper Estieu</a>. Ces nombreuses amitiés sont parfois abordées dans sa correspondance avec Frédéric Mistral.</p>
