<p style="text-align: justify;">Réunis en 1914 en un seul ouvrage paru sous le titre de <em>Carnaval en Béarn</em> :<em> coutumes et chansons</em> (Pau, E.Marrimpouey), ces textes furent présentés une première fois dans la revue <em>Reclams de Biarn e Gascougne</em> (n°2-4, février-avril 1914).</p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">L'auteur, Jean-Baptiste Laborde (1878-1963), prêtre et historien béarnais, y fait état des coutumes et chansons relevées en Béarn lors des commémorations de carnaval passées et de son temps. </p>
<p style="text-align: justify;">Recampats en 1914 en un sol obratge paregut jos lo títol de Carnaval en Bérn : coutumes et chansons (Pau, E.Marrimpouey), aqueles tèxtes foguèron presentats pel primièr còp dins la revista <em>Reclams de Biarn e Gascougne</em> (n°2-4, février-avril 1914). <br /><br />L'autor, Jean-Baptiste Laborde (1878-1963), prèire e istorian bearnés, i fai estat de las costumas e cançons relevadas en Béarn per las commemoracions de carnaval passadas e de son temps.</p>
